The M1 looks better than I thought it would, will be a repeat buyer
The M1 Garand was easy to assemble, and I was impressed by the detail. Didn't realize at first that the rear sight could be raised and adjusted, and found that by surprise. Very cool!
The Garand is amazing. I did enjoy it just as much as my son did. The mini "ping" sound and actions from the Garand are on a smaller scale, just as satisfying as the real thing. Had a problem with a broke sling upon arrival though. Hope Sarge didn't let it slip through QC at the DMZ. Maybe customer support will be in touch?
Great model as usual. The clip eject was a nice touch.
The M1 model I bout was for a memorial piece on a temporary shrine for my grandfathers ashes. In Cuba before the revolution was highjacked by communists he kept a pistol, .45, and an M1 as a rebel. Unfortunately some of those elements of communism followed our family to Chicago and many of our constitutional rights are disrespected here, so this model was the next best small tribute to my hero. An hopefully will act also as a vision board that one day, we may be able to have the real thing.
