Very Nice

Another good looking GG, but it does have a few things that bothered me. First off, it has a steel sling point at the rear, but nothing up front, I had to drill them for the split ring of the sling to work. The Bipod only looks good when it is deployed, when it's stowed in the up position, it seats way to low, and the legs don't lock, unless you really tighten the two screws. Accessory-wise, I added the 16X Scope on the Green sling to mine, and it is right at home with my other Goat Guns!

Grate quality

Don't think about it get it. It's worth it. Easy to put together. Realistic looking. Great for the collection.

Good but needs improvement...

A great addition to the (expanding) collection! Unfortunately, the rear recoil pad couldn't be fitted because one of the supplied screws is just too short. The bipod is a little flimsy and the bolt is very sloppy. It would be great if the magazine and rounds were visible in the breech, too. Aside from the small frustrations, the overall quality is great.

Great Model of Apparent Accuracy International AE Mark series

This rifle appears to be modeled after the Accuracy International AE Mark series rifles - probably a Mark I or II. Though GoatGuns specifies the caliber as .300 Win Mag, the prototypical Mark rifles fire 7.62 x 51. The AXMC chassis fires multi-caliber including .338 Lapua and .300 Win Mag, but this model is not based on that chassis. That's fine. I like the classic look.

With that background, this is one of GoatGuns' better models I've assembled and played with. It's all metal and has a very nice heft to it. It's solid. The bolt works well; and the magazine is one of the better ones in the lineup in that it's solid and doesn't bind up in the well. The bipod may need occasional re-tightening if you're in the habit of routinely deploying it and playing around with the model. I'd consider it a must-have for a GoatGun collection and this is my fifth model. The other 4 include a classic AK, M4/AR, 1911, and the Barrett .50 BMG.
